>read onColin has known Bryan for 68 years, from before we met our life partners. After Bryan met Margaret, and Colin met Joyce, we spent many a happy time together. At weekends we would go hiking at places like the Lakes District, stopping in Youth Hostels. In 1957 the four of us went for a Youth Hostel holiday in Scotland in an old 1937 Riley sedan. Colin was best man at Bryan and Margaret’s marriage in England. Then after we all came to Australia and settled in Sydney, we continued to enjoy each other’s company whilst both having our early children who played together. Even after the move to Melbourne we kept in touch by phone and an occasional visit. A big gap is now missing from our lives, and our thoughts are with Margaret and family in this time of grieve.
