Dear Gerard, I wished I was in Melbourne to say goodbye and celebrate your life. You and Jenny have been the most influential and inspirational people in my life in the last 10 years. You were there when the going was tough and fully supported me when I needed it most. Gerard, you were sweet, gentle, caring, loving, and always positive. You were a gentleman with a very sharp mind. I miss our long conversations  often about french music but always about Jesus. You were so encouraging. The words you spoke at my baptism still encourage me. You saw the best in every person and situation. You were ever the optimistic and your enthusiasm was contagious. It is hard to accept that I will not hear your soft, gentle voice, your cheeky laugh and very strong and very cute French accent again. Gerard, you stood out but above all, you put his Lord Jesus first. I have learnt a lot from you. I know you are in a better place Gerard and until we meet again, lots of love and a big thank you for being you. Neelu
