Sending love to Michael, Grant and Cameron and your families as you miss your beautiful parents. I will always remember your mum’s kindness and love as she taught me in Sunday School to love and memorise Scripture. They have left a lasting legacy, as they now meet Jesus together. Xxx

Sallie was a wonderful person and teacher of our girls, first at St Michael’s and then the three of them at PLC. We have the warmest remembrance of her as a Christian educator and of her ever supportive husband. Our sincere condolences to the family. The memory of the just is blest.

My condolences to the families of Sallie and Leon on their passing. John and I so enjoyed our friendly neighbourly relations over our times at The Ridge. The service was a lovely celebration of their lives together. May they rest in peace Pauline and John (recently deceased) Boxshall.

I’ve been searching for Sallie over the years to thank her for turning our son around in his education and for doing this for so many! She also tried to convince governments that the instinctive approach to reading etc was not appropriate for so many children and was dismayed that so many were falling through the cracks. She tutored our son when he was in primary school as he was one such child- thanks to her, he turned everything around and is now a psychologist. When I heard the radio today about ‘phonics’ and teachers saying what Sallie well knows and tried to change, I googled her again- to find that she’d gone to God. Vale Sallie- you’ve done so much for so many and many like me, are so grateful
