I worked with Michael for a relatively short time but he left a lasting impression on me of a thoroughly ethical, decent, human being who had such a sense of fair play but also a great sense of humour. He was an inspiring family man and set the bar in this field. I will always remember him for these magnificent traits. Michaels passing was a shock & very sad news. Since we were welcomed into the extended Friend family many years ago we have shared responsibilities as guiding grandparents for Jonty & Micah . Our memories are immersed in Michaels love for all his family & we have come to admire his sense of being non judgemental plus strongly supportive . A true gentleman , wise patriarch who will be deeply missed . Farewell for now Michael , till we all meet again down the track .
