Mark & Gwenda Kaiser on 12 October, 2017 at 7:07am

We've been remembering you all as a family , over the years from the early days in warragul. I first met Roberta at play group where she told me she had bible bashed the electrician, who happened to be Mark. Thank goodness she was so willing to share her faith.
Then when we moved to Queensland for a year, you all came for a holiday in our garage. We all had so much fun and laughter together. Then a few years later we came to stay with you guys. A time we all remember well. We all had so much fun together.

Roberta will be remembered as a beautiful lady, beautiful inside and out. A faithful and fruitful child of God, full of wisdom and love.

Sending our love to you Tony and also Emma, Alisha and Sarah and their families
Xx

Cormac & Carmel Farnan on 5 October, 2017 at 7:58pm

Cormac first met Roberta in 1971 when we worked together in the Ulster Hospital Belfast. We bumped into each other in 1974 in the Australian Emigration office in Belfast and ended up arriving, within a few weeks of each other, in Melbourne. Our friendship developed there and she became a regular visitor, welcomed by all our family.
We were honoured to be guests at her wedding to Tony, and even more honoured when susequently Carmel and Cormac were asked to be godparents to one of her twin daughters.
Though there was mutual benefit, we received great support from Roberta in our new country and remember her warmth and affection. She introduced us to a whole new spectrum of music, and we never hear Billy Joel without thinking about her.
She and Tony, with their girls, moved to Queensland and we back to Ireland. But we kept in touch. We were annoyed to hear of her complex health problems and deterioration. However we were so pleased that we were included in the two trips Tony and she made back to the UK, and we in turn visited them in our only return to Australia in 1999.
On their last visit just over a year ago we thought Roberta much better than expected with her history, and we do think her visit "home" gave her a short term boost. Thus we were terribly saddened to hear from Tony that Roberta had suffered a stroke and died.
Her family was her life and she will be terribly missed by her daughters, sons-in-law, grandchildren, but most of all Tony.
We know you all have a deep religious faith and we do hope that will carry you through. Our deepest sympathy to you all.

My love for eternity

Rebecca was the absolute light & love of my life. Never once did her trust & faith in Jesus waver through all of the years of illnesses she suffered. Her illness blessed me by giving me the opportunity to serve & care for her. She was a wonderful & precious best friend and wife. I was so proud of the mother she became when we first of all had twins Emma & Alicia and then our Sarah four years later.

Her life whether she was well or not, was one of serving others; home making, midwifery, craft groups, Bible study groups and mentoring many other ladies over the years. She was a blessing to so many. The Bible expresses the woman she was in Proverbs 31.

I will miss her terribly and will find myself wanting to hug and kiss her, but not being able to. I will want to tell her and show her things. I am so blessed to have had Rebecca as my wife, the mother of our children and the most wonderful Grandma to our nine grandchildren.

I will always love you my special sweetheart. I am so proud of you. Have a great time in Heaven for eternity. I look forward to joining you when Jesus calls me.

Your blessed husband

Tony xxx
