We share fond memories of Rita and Michael when they were members at St Mark's. Their faithful service for the Lord they loved and their encouragement for all they knew. May God bless you all at this time and surround you with his peace.

Rita and Michael were two halves of a beautiful love story. Equally, each one of them was a remarkable person in their own right. Rita was quietly dignified, and gracious towards everyone she knew. And she exemplified an ever ready willingness to give of herself generously for the good of others. Sue and I greatly valued her as a friend and a sister in Christ. May she rest in peace.

Rita has been a friend of my mother's since the 60s when she and her family lived in Rowley Regis in the West Midlands of England before moving to Australia. Rita and Iris and the two families have stayed in touch all these years by post , an occasional phone call and several visits in person when Rita came back to England with members of her family. We treasure many happy memories of a lovely lady and send love and thoughts to Alison Caroline, Phillip and Matthew and their families at this sad time. Thinking of you all-Iris, Joanne, Geoff, Alastair Olivia and Lily.

As Rita’s family knows, my dear Mum and Rita were good friends, dating back to 1969 or 1970, when the Northwoods lived in Dower St, and Caroline and I were at kindergarten together.
They saw each other regularly until Edna had a stroke in 2009, and she was unable to return home. Rita and Alison would visit Edna in Aged Care when they could, and Mum always enjoyed their visits.
They shared a good sense of humour, travelled well on a couple of trips together, and every Wednesday when Rita would visit Edna in Camberwell, they enjoyed turkey sandwiches, followed by a game of Yahtzee.
Rest in peace, dear Rita
