Very sad to hear of the loss of both Virgil and Margaret so close together. Virgil was a lovely guy, the light in Margaret's life and such fun to be around, and yes a keen card player, he taught us many games. I have many wonderful memories of our times together with Virgil and Margaret in Houghton, Hancock and Melbourne. I will always remember the long multi-course dinners followed by long conversations and a competitive game of dominoes (Mexican train, Australian rules not American rules) during the dessert course. Because the games and conversation went on well into the night, we often had two desserts! They were warm gracious hosts (and guests) and Margaret is a excellent cook so we had a lot of fun together.
